MACPRO
ABOUT US
Privately-owned boutique business
Viljee and Hermiena Lombaard bought a Macadamia farm in the Barberton valley, back in 2002. From 2007 to 2016 we have done value adding to our macadamia crop, making chocolate macadamia sweets and had our product on the shelves in all major retail outlets in SA. We opened our cracking facility back in 2017.

Today, 17 years later we are in business as a Nut in shell boutique facility specializing in Nut in shell exports to China.
We also own a nut in shell online registered retail brand” Paguma” in China. Our aim and business model are based on managing all costs and operating with the lowest overheads possible, but still offers the best service to our farmers and clients (buyers), without compromising quality and service.

As a farmer myself we have learned to remove all unnecessary expenses (bells and whistles), that have a negative impact on pricing e.g. expensive facilities. Removing certain unnecessary costs that do not add value and quality to the product. An approach – we as Mac farmers adopted because of recent low prices.

Basically, all processors receive more of less the same offering from Chinese buyers (very transparent- “we all fish at the same dam”) but overheads, margins and volume dictates prices offered to growers. The Grower can only benefit from our approach, we forward these financial benefits to our grower. This makes us very competitive.

OUR STORY
Just a short drive from Barberton lies our family’s heart and soul, Felicia Farm. For over 20 years, this land has been more than just a place to grow macadamias, it’s been part of who we are. Every tree is nurtured with care, from the moment it’s planted to the day its nuts are ready to be harvested. We’ve learned to work with the rhythms of the land, using sustainable methods and putting our passion into every step of the process. Watching the orchards flourish is one of our greatest joys, it’s a reminder of how much love and dedication go into growing something truly special. Felicia Farm isn’t just our livelihood; it’s our way of life, rooted in family, hard work, and the beautiful land we’re so lucky to call home.
